If you do not see yourself the way that you want women to see you, then you are doomed from the start. To attract a woman, you do have to maintain the right frame of mind, otherwise, you are going to be set up from failure. This means that you should be able to visualize the outcomes that you want with a woman as being more than possible, they should seem probable.
